I just saw the thread about the 40% off on Knight Muzzleloaders and figured I might as well get a new toy. I mainly hunt Iowa, but do have the chance to go to Colorado to hunt. What are the legal requirements for muzzleloaders in Colorado? If possible would you have a Colorado/Western legal gun and also an Eastern legal gun? Thanks.

What thread is that? I'm in the market as well..

And the research and advice I got was a knight ultra lite. Can be converted to western legal and used out east

Cnelk, do you know the reasoning behind the ban on pelletized powder? I can understand the open sights, the powder restrictions seems a little odd.

No reason that I know of. Its always been that way

A few years ago they tried not allowing 'in-lines', that didnt go over very well....

No restrictions on primers.

Blackhorn 209 is legal.

It the 'pellets' that arent legal

The reason is Colorado thinks the muzzleloader season is primitive. I have a different definition of primitive, but that's why no pellets, scopes, and sabots.
