Colorado Legal Bull? Part II

I recently posted a pic of a 3pt bull and asked if it was legal with a 5 inch brow tine.

Today I went and retrieved the SD card that had video clips of the bull.

So - Legal or no?

If the ear is 7", then I'd judge him not legal. After the velvet falls, he'll lose a 1/2" of what you see. I don't think he'll gain that in the time he has left to grow bone.

I'm not shooting. That's way too close for comfort. I'd just pick a spot a little farther right and shoot the other bull. 😀

Little off subject but my buddy got an either sex elk tag in Colorado. Any restrictions he should be aware of? Are spikes legal?

I think he would probably make it but not sure I would chance it. Looks like you have better ones there anyway.

Sure glad I live and hunt idaho, don't have to deal with that decision.
It looks to me like a pass. Velvet always makes them look bigger.
