Hoping to hunt 2nd Season rifle in Colorado GMU 24 with a small group of guys. Had been thinking we'd apply for tags as a group and would choose bull vs cow as 1st choice accordingly, but as I confirm the rules for group applications I am wondering if the new Severe Winter Zone hunt codes throw a wrench in that plan.
For GMU 24:
The new 2nd Season rifle hunt code for bulls is E-M-011-O2-R.
The 2nd Season rifle hunt code for cows is E-F-012-O2-R
The group application rules state:

Given the difference in the Unit Number portion of the code, would I be correct in assuming the group choosing between those two codes depending on their desired sex invalidates the group application? Despite it technically being the "different sex" option for the same hunt?
- Group members must apply for the same species, hunt code, unit, geographic restrictions, season and method of take for each choice, but may apply for a different sex.
- For example: some group members may apply for EM011O1R as their first choice and others for EF011O1R as their first choice, and still be a part of the same group, but EE011P1R would not be a valid first choice for one of these group members as it has a different geographic restriction (private-land-only).
