Colorado GMU 70 3rd Rifle Mule Deer

Ive got a 3rd season rifle tag for GMU 70. I have only hunted the high country here on the east of the unit but am hoping to explore some new country and find the deer moving to lower elevations by then. Specific areas of interest so far are dry creek basin and disappointment creek. Looking for some first hand info on access, hunting pressure and good spots to truck camp. Feel free to pm. Have not had chance to head over and put boots on the ground yet but hoping to in late October. Anyone else on here hunting this tag?

I hunted 3rd season deer there in 2009. Dry Creek and Disappointment Creek will definitely have deer around by then. It was far and away the most crowded hunt I've ever been on but we still saw quite a few small bucks and even a few bulls.

Thanks for the info. I figured that it might be a little crowded. Im trying to find a few of the more obscure spots to access public land. Hopefully that pays off.
