6mm Remington is too good of a cartridge for them to let die on the vine. I know several people who own the 6mm Remington and love it as much as I do. I've killed one bull elk with my 6mm Remington. A single 100 gr. Partition did the trick. My son also took his first elk which was a large cow with his 6mm Remington. He used one 90gr. Nosler E-Tip at 350 yards. She staggered about 20 yards and dropped. Great performance by the bullet and cartridge.6 mm/.243 is legal for elk in CO. One of the biggest bulls I ever saw killed in that state was killed by a woman with one shot from a now pretty much defunct 6 mm Remington handloaded with Nosler partitions. A 6 cm or 243 will do the same thing.
