Curious if the 2028 changes will cause a massive point dump from mid/high level point folks, thus causing a crazy point swing this year and next. We shall see.

I drew a MD tag with 6 points. Last year it was 50% with 5 points. Go Hunt predictions were 0% with 6 points. So there was no massive point creep at least in my case.

If it was 50% chance with 5pp last year that means it was 100% guarantee with 6pp last year. To not draw with 6pp this year would have required a significant number of tag reductions or a significant increase of applicants with 7pp+ or a mixture of both. Not saying 2pp creep isn't possible but it's unlikely for that tier of unit.

I got burned on a 6 point 2nd season tag, and my neighbor got burned on a 7 point 4th season tag. Both 100% last year at those levels. Real excited to look at the odds to see where the creep was the worst.

Buddy got burned on 100% deer and bear tags last year… hopefully he doesn’t get burned on elk too, always have otc… but looks like old Coffee pot road jumped a whole bunch for rifle deer hunts…

I heard from a good source (this was years ago), once the draws are all completed, then Groups are charged then some sort of algorithm is used to charge cards in a specific order.
