Colorado deer - Scouting help

Hey guys, fairly new hear but have spent some time browsing the threads prior to making a profile. I'm doing my first high country mule deer hunt down in 74. It's archery and I plan on hunting the first 7 days and then probably calling it good if I haven't killed a buck. I've read enough of these threads to know how they work and I don't need anyone's spot or people giving away info in the thread. I'm just looking to chat with anyone who lives nearby or has hunted the area and would like to give me a few pointers about how I should approach the scouting of my unit and then the hunt. I've got some areas in mind I could bounce off you if you have been there and see what you think. Just trying to maximize my time there when I go scout. I've read Robby's book and that helped but feel like I'd have some more questions that are more particular to this unit and the terrain/habitat I'll be spending time in.
