i was wondering if anyone has any experience hunting moose in unit 41 42 or 421. I just got a cow moose license someone traded in and i was next in line for. Im gonna hunt archery and it doesn’t matter how backcountry or close to the road the spot is as long as theres moose

Did you put in for a tag that you have no clue about or have you spent some time in the units? Do you live in the state?

I didn't hunt those units but fairly close last year. I actually didn't see that many moose close to the roads...especially bulls during the summer and early fall. Learn the habitat in the unit where moose tend to hang out and you should find cows. Even a cow is pretty big. If you are hunting archery, muzzy, or early rifle be prepared to get your moose out pretty quick before it spoils. It can be pretty warm that time of year....but you never know. You better have a sturdy backpack for hauling and possibly a group of others to help pack it out. It would take around 4 or 5 trips of boned meat to get it out yourself....obviously fewer trips with more meat haulers.
