Colorado 4th season rifle GMU 471 Camping

I just got a tag for 4th season rifle in 471. Difficult campground would be great to camp in but all the information I can find says it will be closed. Also the road to that campground will be closed as well. I’m looking for a place to park either my truck with a tent on it or a smaller camper. Any suggestions?

I have tried reaching out to the biologist and park rangers. I will continue to try to reach out to them and get more information from them.

Just use onx and google earth to locate likely spots to pull off the road on national forest. Have a few picked out so you have options.

Not a place I’d be 4th season without a snow mobile. I was there for archery and won’t be back anytime soon. Best wishes

Difficult Campground will definitely be closed. The other sites along the pass probably will be too. If the roads heading towards ashcroft are open you might be able to find a spot.

Thanks for the responses. I talked with game warden and the wildlife biologist. I’ve got a plan or two.
