They are all over up here, Ryan! Maybe don't let Aron do the shooting this year!...

This is one we took a few years ago. Mentored my buddy's son and he killed this bear on the first evening in NE Oregon. See more color phase than all black in that region.

Hey Ryan,
Come hunt Colorado. It's actually pretty rare here to find a "black" bear. They are almost all brown, some cinnamon, and a few blonde but mostly brown.

I can write the explanation for geographic distribution of color Phase bears if that is something of interest. I studied this with Dr. Charles Jonkel in Montana.
