Coloado 2nd season GMU 30

Anyone care to share some experiences in CO GMU 30 2nd deer? Ive hunted the Bookcliffs in Utah a few times and given the proximity I'd expect the terrain to be about the same. The elevation seems about the same. Is it mostly P&J? Are the higher concentrations of deer in the eastern part? Looking at a plan for next year. Thanks.

my brother and I hunted unit 30 two season ago. the temps were in the seventies most of the season, made finding deer tough. the locals we talked to said it was a bad year due to no snow before the season. we hunted around 6500 to 7500 ft. there were a lot of canyons full of scrub oak. my brother shot this buck in the scrub oak.
