Was warm enough on a backpacking trip this weekend (34) that it rained all night Saturday…with the stupid cold coming through, the trip got cut short. I like getting out in the cold, but not past about 10 degrees.

Just heard north of me at the end of the Gunflint on Seagull lake they had -42 this morning, and tonight might be colder...we're going through some wood for sure!

Currently -12F. Been around that all day with -22 to -35F windchills.
Several colleagues are on study away trips in Hawaii & the Gallapagos. Tonight one of them sent our grouptext a pic of them on the beach. In snorkels.
The rest of us schmucks stuck here were NOT amused.

Yesterday my work pick up registered -13 most of the day.
This morning my pick up said -17 on the way into work.
This is in MN.
Heading up to LOTW on Friday. The forecast for last night was for -26.
Warm up for there this week end. Highs in the low 20’s.

26 when I got up at 5:00 -- high of 29, chance of snow and rain -- going down to 15 tonight.

The boys (and girls) just north of me grow peaches, they are loving these cold weather snaps we've been having. Peaches need something like 1,000 hours of below 45 weather. The folks on the news are predicting snow at the beaches. I wanted to drive down to the condo for that, wife wants to be here for grandbaby's first snow, yeah that's more important to play with a 3 year-old in it.

Looking at some of the recent temps seems like it is colder than Mcmurdo was when I was stationed there back in 1980. Wew, don't miss that cold. 29 this morning is good for me LOL.
