Cold weather options

I do have a Kratos jacket and pants that may be brought into the mix as well. Basically just hunting options.

How are you getting yourself, gear and wall tent to the camping location? Foot, stock or vehicle? Does the wall tent have a stove?
Knowing this will influence what options you have.

A bit off topic but it might help the OP too... When you guys are running quilts with sleeping bags do you stuff the quilt in the bag with you or throw it over the outside of the bag?

Yes I know...total noob question but I have no experience with cold weather camping being a southerner...haha

Depends which is bigger... In my wall tent, we try to keep the stove going all night if we can, but I also bring two sleeping bags, one over the other just in case.
But yes it's hard to say what the o.p. Needs , it all depends on hiking or driving in.

Sorry guys. I've been a bit busy at work. Ok, we will be driving to camp. However I'm not really wanting to get a bunch of heavy bully stuff because I do backpack in a lot in Nc and want to get stuff I can use at home as well. My thought process with the woobie, sleeping bag combo was I would have a warmer weather sleep system with the woobie. A cool weather with my 20 degree and a cold weather with a combo of both. I'm just not sure if that will be good enough to be a true cold weather system. I contacted Kigali with the question and got 2 different answers. One did it would probably be about a 10 degree equivalent the other said it would probably be good. Idk what I want to do.

I would be interested in how everyone combines them as well. I have tried with a wobble in my bag and I end up tangled up.

I've never done a quilt with a bag, just two quilts together, but if it were me I'd sleep in the bag and drape the quilt over it so I wasn't compressing the quilt inside the more restrictive bag.

One of the responses from kifaru touched on that. The one responce( I can't remember from who) said the combo of the to would be pretty close to what I needed. He also said he had better luck sleeping in his bag with the woobie over top.

Since your driving I'd throw a fleece sleeping bag liner in.
I have a zippered one and love the feel compared to nylon and adds quite a bit of warmth.
