So I am a midwesterner and I’ve come to hate rubber boots after wearing them for 20+ years. But they do fit a specific need which for me is a cold weather boot. But where they fall off is comfort and for moving….

So I’m looking for a boot for coyote hunting. I don’t do a ton of walking but I have some longer walks to stands but then I’m sitting for 20-30 min. I have been wearing my hanwag alverstones but they get cold in a hurry. I’ll be walking on rolljng ground in some mud, stream crossings, crp fields, etc. so I don’t necessarily need a technical boot but I don’t not need one if that makes sense….

I’ve been considering Hoffman pac boots but wasnt sure how they were for walking?

Carry artic shield boot insulators, after walking get them on quickly to retain the heat you generated, if it's crazy cold throw in a foot warmer. They weight next to nothing and work well.
