Cold weather beanie and neck gaiter - Kuiu vs Sitka

I'm considering picking up the Kuiu Kenai hat or beanie at the current sale price, but would like to hear from people that have tried the Kenai hat or beanie AND the stratus, fanatic, or insulated jetstream in below freezing temps. Basically I want to know if there's a big difference in warmth or fit. I'm also interested in a comparison of the Kenai hat vs the Kenai beanie if anyone's used both.

I'm also interested in a comparison between the Kuiu Proximity neck gaiter and the Sitka neck gaiter (the fleece lined one, not the core one).
