Coffee makers and grinders

I used to do the burr grind and a French press...but for the last 10 years I've had the Jura E6 and it's been bulletproof. Great cup using the Costco French roast beans.

This Grinder and a MSR windburner with French press insert the last few years.

Buy my whole beans locally and fresh roasted that day every few weeks.

I’m liking the drip machine. They have an insulated carafe option as well!
Generally, the glass pot Moccamaster is better received. It does have a really quality warmer that runs for two hours.

If you demand an insulated pot, buy a glass-lined thermos that you can actually fit your hand in to clean. Non-glass-lined thermoses change coffee flavor and stain easily.

If you want the best and done with it, then I’d get a Moccamaster and Fellow Ode Gen 2. Yes, you’ll be out $700, but coffee will be a treat.

I’m a bit of a coffee snob. Ask any questions you want.

I generally prefer coffee aged about 10-14 days to off gas.

The moccamaster warmer is legit. Keeps coffee at the right temp and never burns it. I agree with the others to get the glass carafe and put it in a thermos if you really need to keep it warm longer.

I’m not a big coffee drinker but I use a Chemex pour over and a Fellow Ode burr grinder. And I have a subscription to Trade coffee that sends me whole beans from roasters all over the US.

Breville Barista Pro
Americano is my drink of choice. Wife prefers lattes.

I do as well but also don’t want to run out!

On the topic of coffee and French presses, has anyone tried the new Yeti one? I’m not into the hype of yeti products but I fondled one at the hunt expo and was pretty impressed.

For a drip machine the Technivorm Moccamaster. There is a knockoff called simply good coffee I believe. The moccamaster is kinda pricey but brews very very good drip coffee and does it quickly. Amazon usually has then way cheaper for Black Friday or look for one used.

I have a Rancilio grinder which is way more than I’d ever spend but it was a gift and works very well.
We’re livin in a parallel universe, my drip setup is a Moccamaster and a Rancilio :)

Looking to stumble into a good grinder and coffee maker myself. Any other feedback on the Moccamaster and Fellow Ode grinder? I like the reviews of those items and they are in my budget

Baratza Encore grinder.
Bonavita coffee maker.

The Bonavita is caveman simple, one button. It knows what to do. It has an insulated carafe.

This. I have a Baratza Virtuoso grinder, they’ll send you replacement parts if ever needed.
Bonavita-simple-perfect water temps.

“The Coffee Ride “ beans pm me and I’ll give you a discount code (I get no kick back) .

I have had mine a long time. I actually bought the better burrs and installed them in my Encore. I had forgotten about it until you mentioned the Virtuoso.

Jesus Christ, dude. You only live once.

Baratza Encore burr grinder and a Moccamaster KBGV for me.

I've had a Moccmaster KBT going on 11 years. I've tried all the good drip makers including the Bonavita and Oxo. I still think the Moccamaster makes the best drip coffee there is. Of course you have to grind good beans to realize this lol. I have a Capresso burr grinder rather than the Baratza, but I've gone to a hand grinder mostly anymore so rarely use the electric one. Were I starting over I'd get the Baratza Encore.

I bought a Baratza Encore grinder probably fifteen years ago when I started roasting my own beans and it’s been flawless.

I’ve been using a ceramic pour over funnel contraption for probably as long. I use percolator when I’m making a pot for more than me and the wife.
