CO tag quantity per season? Where?

I was reading through the regs and I can’t find anywhere how many tags are issued for the deer seasons. Is there a location I’m missing. Debating between cashing in on a 3rd season or holding out for a 4th season and tag quantities are the deciding factor.

Tag quotas are unknown until the recap report is published after draw results are released. You can look at past recap reports to see how many tags were issued for any given hunt code in previous years.

The new CPW website is difficult to navigate but I would google “CPW draw statistics” for previous years odds and that should help you. As stated before this year’s tag allocation won’t be set until the May commission meeting, but you’ll get an idea

Colorado determines quota after application deadline. They do aerial population surveys in the spring and establish the draw based on that.

Hasn’t been much winter kill this year so I would expect tag allotment to be similar to last year
Unless they reduce the tags for hunters so the wolves can eat.
