Hi there! After 23 years, finally pulled my CO Moose tag in 28. Just starting my initial research and looking for general info on the unit and/or recent hunt experiences. Thanks so much~Rob

Congrats! I’ve been in there grouse hunting and seen moose. I drew a moose tag for a different area but if you want info on where I saw some moose PM me and I’d be happy to share.

No experience in 28, but 3 years ago I hunted 2nd rifle elk in 371, just across the Blue southwest of you.
We saw more moose than elk and all were above 10K’ with 6” of snow on the ground in mid-October.

ETA: Looking at the pic there might have been a little more snow than I remembered, heh!
And morning temps were in the single digits.
