CO Goat app question

This will be my first year applying for sheep and goat, so it's a obviously going to be a long road to a tag...and that's if I'm lucky. I just want to make sure I don't screw up right off the bat. I have the brochure right here and for a NR the fee is $2009, this includes the $3 app fee. It also says I must buy a $10 habitat stamp.

So if I send in one check for $2019 for goat and check the box that says "$10 included for habitat stamp". Then send in my sheep app with only $2009 without habitat stamp how do they know I bought it? I just want to make sure I don't get one app disqualified for whatever reason, that's the reason I am asking this dumb question...it's seems straightforward I just want to make sure it is!

Are you able to apply online? IMO it's a lot easier that way.

No it's a paper application only for NR sheep and goat. I wish it were online.

I would buy the habitat stamp online especially if you are applying for deer, elk, etc. which you can do online. Then I would just mail the goat and sheep checks in

Yeah that's kind of my problem, I don't plan on applying for those species. So I can't do it online. I was just on the CO website, looks like I can call during the week and buy it that way so that's what I'll do.

Yeah, you were right you can buy "just the stamp" online, now I don't need to sweat the sequence of how they work on the applications. I appreciate the responses.

I was worried about that as well. Kind of seems like they could have a better system. I called twice and asked for an sheep/goat brochure each time. I figured if one didn't get sent out the other would! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I do everything correctly.

I have requested the goat and sheep booklet twice now online and still havent recieved it.. I am going to call tomorrow and have them mail me one. I have to get my points this year.. I am like you and starting the poing game this year..

jtelarkin: I just used to contact info from the CO website and finally got someone that could mail the brochure. Then I did the exact same thing the next day. To their credit I did get two brochures a day apart.
