CO elk/deer draw question

Only looking to buy a point for elk and deer this year. Can I purchase the one day non resident small game license for $16 or do I need to purchase the annual license for $82??

I had to purchase the annual to get the point, I wish the fewer day tag would work, but it does look like this small game tag will be active for next years application still, so shouldn't have to buy again next year

Per Regs - you must first purchase/hold a qualifying license for the current license year....

I am a CO resident and have had to buy a small game license/habitat stamp the last 2 years prior to putting in for my elk/deer/antelope tags and preference points.

The point is tied to the 2020 season, "license year", your prior year small game license is not the same license year. Your small game license is also expired by the time the draw takes place.

Yeah they lowered price for points but required that license. Cost comes out about the same for me As I buy points for multiple species
