CO 3rd Rifle Thread

We hunted what I would consider north central CO. Hunted Monday through Thursday. The first night we saw two next level bucks cruising and checking does on the border of private. Never saw them again. Majority of deer were around 9k feet. We saw new bucks almost daily; however, as the week went on less deer were spending time in public. Both my boys hunted hard, passed some smaller bucks, and we were rewarded with filling 1 of 2 tags.

It was a rough hot third season here. On the seventh day I found a buck chasing some does. I decided to go out this morning to look at a spot I scouted this summer since I still had an OTC elk tag in my pocket. As expected I found no bulls but an older buck running a couple does and no other hunters in site.
