CO 2nd vs 3rd Seasons

NW Colorado 3rd season last year was absolutely unreal for our group. The rut was WIDE open, and there were deer seemingly around every bend. I’m talking big deer right against the road chasing does and bucks fighting. Even with the warm weather, I don’t see how it could’ve gotten much better for our group. One of those weeks where everything just clicked. Last year was a far cry from 3 years ago when mule deer in general were hard to come by. Just an FYI, it's a carcass tag not an antler tag. Even with the head still attached they can give you a ticket. Congrats on your hunt though. You guys did good

I would go third. Better chance for weather and closer to the full swing of the rut

I picked 3rd season hopefully I see sum rut activity in the area I chose.... Good luck
