I filled my tag with a small forky Friday night. Did see a nice buck in the morning, but had no chance to do anything.

Slow week in north west CO hunting a popular no point unit. Packed 7 miles up a drainage and logged ~70 miles total. Was able to find tons of does / forkies and elk all week, wasn’t able to turn up any mature bucks. Passed on two barely legal raghorns that I’m now regretting a bit.

Hi, last years weather was very rough for 2nd season buck tags I was only able to get a spike last year. last year only seemed like the little 2 points and spikes were out along with does seen a couple 6x6 bucks on private. I was wondering if anyone has done any scouting or knew if we will have another late winter I was thinking of doing another 2nd season tag if anyone could give me some tips or what areas i should put my tag. Thanks
