CO 1st Rifle

I dropped my elk off at the processor in Gunnison Sunday at 9AM and picked him up partially frozen at 4PM the same day, if that gives you an indication for how slow it was 2nd Season.

Does everybody take their orange jackets or vests off just for pics? Seems like I always see a lot of guys with only an orange hat on for their pics????

I take mine off and hang in tree above dead animal. IMO, the blaze orange will ruin a pic faster than anything. I am not against wearing it while hunting, I even have a balze pack cover to go over my backpack while hunting. I just don't like it in pics.

I gave the CO first rifle season a try this year. First time in CO chasing elk without a bow for me. I find myself looking for more and more opportunities to use the Snowy Mountain rifle.
