Vehicle gear should include a shovel, tow strap, jumper cables and tire chains.
a stand alone battery jump box can negate the need for cables.

Holy cow thats a lot of stuff. Does that all fit in your pack? How heavy is that?

I’m not sure what to omit there. Open to suggestions. And not all clothing will make it in the pack. I have a 1700 mile drive, so I’m just bringing stuff to be ready for (hopefully) any weather. I have run pretty much everything listed, minus a couple of the merino items. (Mystery ranch metcalf). Plenty of room at about 58 pounds with a gallon of water (dirty bladder and nalgene full).

I will be out for 1st rifle in CO (again) as well. For planning purposes you can expect mornings to generally be mid- to low-20’s rising to mid-60’s during the day. It obviously depends on where you are in CO and can be very different (year-to-year, day-to-day), much colder at night, etc. But to plan what you should pack that should be a good average.

Am I missing anything obvious??

This is only my second elk hunt. Did OTC archery in 2019. I’m a nervous wreck about this upcoming rifle hunt.
