Yeah honestly to start out I'd just look on ebay for like neutral colored marmot, mountain hardwear, REI, Patagonia, Prana, Eddie Bauer etc. Greys, greens, and browns are super popular these days luckily. Tons of stuff out there. Get some decent pants, softshell, hard shell, shirt. Buy some new merino wool base layers, socks, beanie, gloves of any reputable outdoor brands. Also check sierra (old Sierra trading post) for random deals on gear.
