christensen mpr 338 lapua bolt swap

Ok I have no idea if this can work or not but hear me out. I have a Christensen arms MPR in 338 Lapua. I love how the rifle fits me and it shoots....... well it goes bang when I pull the trigger. Christensen has suggested that i send it in for their gunsmith to take a look at it. Which i might end up doing. But here is my problem. The range that I currently shoot at no longer allows anything over 30 cal to be shot at the steel targets provided by the range and they will not allow you to bring your own. I now dont have a place to shoot this rifle past 300 yards. So I was wondering if i could swap out the bolt to a standard magnum bolt face and swap the barrel out to a 300 PRC? Its the same length action and same bolt just different bolt face. Can I do this and not have it blow in my face?
