Christensen Carbon Barrels at Brownells

Do these have the smaller tikka shank?
I found this on Christensen's website. It looks like they have a 1.20" shank diameter.

Also, found this on the LongRangeOnly forum.

For the "take-off" barrels that should be compatible with most Remington actions (not blanks), the barrel tenon specs are 1.0625″ x 16 Tpi.

I got mine in from Brownells. Everything looked fine. It will be a little while before I chamber it and see how it shoots.

I got two from Yellowstone Armory via Gunbroker. Both look good to me. Not in a big hurry to do anything with them so will probably wait until I come across an action on clearance.

I chambered this barrel friday and shot it today. Looking like it has some potential.

Zero group. Position: Standing on post with gamechanger. First shot 1.1 mil low not pictured. There was scope adjustment in this group. I started high left adjusted to the 3 below the bull. Then the impacts slowly climed up. Shot rate was about one shot every 10 seconds.

Then I shot a 5 shot group after cool down. This was also about 1 round every 10 seconds.

Happy so far.

@207North looks good! How much metal shank is between the action and the carbon fiber? Or how much did you remove before threading? Thanks

About 1 1/8 from shoulder to where the carbon fiber starts. IMG_1492.jpeg

I removed 1/8” before turning the tenon and chambering.

Looks like you’re off to a good start. I had a 20” in my cart for quite a while, but didn’t really “need” it. If it was a 6mm blank, I’d have snatched up a couple.
