I haven’t seen this posted and don’t know anything about these but Brownells has Christensen Carbon barrel blanks in .270 and .264 for $249

Anyone have suggestions on where to have these chambered? This is the first blank I've bought.

I do not.

I’m going to swap my 24” factory with a 20” and add a suppressor.

Your user name is awesome. He lives inside of us, among us and through us.

Do a search for good gunsmiths in your area. Otherwise you can ship to some of the bigger outfits (Kampfeld, LRI, etc.). You're usually looking at roughly $350 for a chambering and install job, add another $50-100 for muzzle threading.

Thanks for the info on costs. Looks like the muzzle is already threaded.

I bought a Christensen prefit to replace a shorty barrel on a CA MPP… accuracy was a bit finicky I don’t reload but I finally found some factory ammo it likes. This was a .308 my last 3 shots once I found ammo it’s happy with. Didn’t have time for a proper 10 round group, but I’ll get one of those eventually haha

Or they’re junk barrels... Christensen is known for a lot of accuracy issues.
The question there would be is that the barrel, the chambering job, or the system?

I haven’t looked in a while but as I recall their blanks were considered good over on LRH or LRO

I don’t need it, but that’s pretty cheap for a carbon blank. I’ve spent more money on worse haha. Maybe they’ll sell out before I click submit.
