Just bought a Christensen arms stock for my remington 700 sa build I'm doing. What's everyone's thoughts on them?

They are light at under 2lbs, carbon fiber, look good and the barrel channel is perfect for the barrel im going to use.

Love to hear thoughts on them.

Better than Bell and Carlson not quite as nice as Manners or McMillan. I would say for a classic style hunting rifle they are a great price for what you get.

I have a few McMillans. Are they just not as stiff, not as finished? What are the main differences? Just looking for what to expect.

I'm glad to hear they beat out a bell and Carlson.

The Manners and McMillans are just nicer in almost every way. The main differences will be recoil pad fitment and overall finish. $250.00 better? I do not think so, if you are after a classic style stock.

Dont get me wrong, i love my McMillans. But I'm building a remage and didn't want to drop 5-600 on the stock. So im thinking i made a good choice. Thanks for the info bud.

I'm assuming itll take basic rem700 bdl bottom metal, i couldn't find in the description it said that. But all the online pics show bdl style bottom metal.

I really like the CA carbon stocks. But I’ve had a few issues with them
But I’ve had issues with manners and McMillan’s too. Watch the area around the aluminum pillars on Carbon stocks or carbon pillars on CA stocks.

Are the pillars not put in well?

No, I think they are fine but I’ve had issue with them cracking around there or back by the tang/comb area. Just something to pay attention too. Especially if you shoot big guns.

This will be for a 6.5cm so hopefully the recoil won't be an issue. I appreciate the heads up though for sure. Thanks man

Any 700 BDL bottom metal should work. I would see if they will sell you their bottom metal and mag box. It's pretty nice and very light.

I have been seeing these going for at or below $250 and have thought about picking one up. Even at $350 through Christenson doesn’t seem bad at least for the little bit I have fondled one at Cabela’s.

Called them this morning to check on when they'll ship and they said itll be out tomorrow. I mentioned buying bottom metal from them and he said no problem, they sell them for 250...i think I'll keep my remington bottom metal lol.

Ya 250 is a little steep. I think Hawkins is around 180.
