I’ve had a few Christensen (4) and wouldn’t have another. They are junk !! Took 4 for me to realize it.
Yes some shoot !! But actions are gross and there a lot of issues with them and I had one of them and have a buddy that had two in a row with issues …
Never again for me. I’d take a browning over Christensen any day.
Also there customer service sucks bigs ones !!
Yeah, they are junk and suck….this is factory ammo and it does this everytime.94D174B7-B6F2-430D-9477-5D156D766C5D.jpeg

Good for you 👏like I said some shoot !!
I love the guys that defend Christensen to the death !! Keep buying more and you will get a bad one …
I had 4 and one was a complete POS and had to go back , buddy has 3 currently and 2 out of 3 are junk.
Like I said they are junk.

Not a browning guy but it seems like they never have issues.
Yes you got a good one and I had a insanely accurate 7-08 ridge line on my last one but there are better options out there.
When the douche from Christensen (Javlin) blows smoke up my A** and does not come thru with his promises I will do what I can to bash them.

I guess I just have bad luck. The first barrel on this Ridgeline would have made a better tomato stake. They did stand behind it and second one seems much better.

My neighbor had one that wouldn’t shoot and they told him to pound sand because he reloaded. So better keep that to yourself if your having problems.

Doesn’t take much looking around to find a whole lot of disappointed customers. I have plenty of sub 1/4” groups in other guns…. Not a shooter problem

Girlfriend has one. Shoots just as good as my Weaver custom rifle. Thats with factory loads.
She has a VX5 HD on it with dial. Short carbon barrel. Really light.

Agree on the coments about the bolt. Tad hi.

Some people just aren’t moa or better shooters. This is their new 12.5” barrel MPP in 308 at 300 yards with cheap factory ammo from Freedommunitions. 059160BC-CAF2-4420-8E23-5B237D7F44DC.jpeg

In my experience CA’s groups will tighten up significantly after 40-50 break in rounds. This MPP is at about 25, so it will likely get better.

I have had 5 different CA ridgelines/ Traverses and helped buddies setup several others. Never encountered a "bad one". The factory spot bedding leaves a little to be desired and often times the barrel crown can use a touch-up from a smith who knows what there doing. All have shot sub-moa, most with factory ammo- some down in the .3's. Are the actions the best, absolutely not.

Don’t use the word bedding and what CA does in the same sentence….. that is not bedding. Looked like they shot black RTV in the stock, bolted it up and shipped it out the door.

I agree with what everybody is saying about the actions. They do smooth out over time. The bergara premier series actions have to be some of the best I have ever felt. I have owned 4 Xbolts, and while I love the 60 degree bolt throw, their actions aren’t that great either.

Not sure if the OP has made a choice but EuroOptic has a 15% coupon on most CA rifles right now.

I’m giving them a chance to make good, but I have a Mesa right now that ate $200 worth of ammo during break in and round search and does not shoot. Followed their procedure to break in, have checked torque on everything and confirmed it wasn’t me by shooting my cheap Ruger american side by side. I’m disappointed to say the least, when I spend this much and more since I’m a lefty this shouldn’t be. Tried calling them, no answer and no response yet on my repair request via their website. I loved everything about this rifle until I shot it….

I had a similar experience with a CA Ridgeline.

I have been shooting 1 in 7rm for probably 4-5 years. Close friend has been shooting one in 300wm for 2 years. Both are shooting sub moa and have killed every animal they've been aimed at. Can't complain. Mine shoots sst, eldx, accubonds, and berger vlds all sub moa.

For what it's worth I just ordered a ridgeline scout as well. I've got no problems with them

As it should- and so should mine. This isn’t a Walmart rifle and shouldn’t leave the factory shooting 2.5-3” groups with premium ammo. They have a solid reputation as hit or miss and I rolled the dice, so it’s partially on me.

Are you shooting factory or hand loads? I have a CA Ridgeline 7mm rem mag that I purchased in 2017 and I don't get anywhere near the accuracy you do with factory ammo. It shoots the Hornady Precision hunter ammo the best but still about 1-1.5MOA at 100 yards.

All of it. I got sub 1 inch groups out of the precision hunters and the federal berger hybrid hunters. Even shot tight with the fusions. Shoots lights out with my own eldx, accubond, and berger vld loads

Cons: Crappy stocks, very very clunky action, hit and miss on quality as their QC process has had some issues keeping up with the demand. Customer service isn’t great. I’ve owned and been a part of 4 Christensen bolt actions, only 1 is still in the family. It’s a shooter but 1 out of 4 being up quality is a terrible first hand experience percentage.

Pros: Nice trigger, some are very accurate, standard rem 700 mounting so lots of options for optics.

The only experience I’ve had with the Ridgeline was a 6.5 CM that I mounted a scope on and sighted in for a friend. It had a great trigger and shot .5. I almost fell in love with it.
