I just shot my new rifle for the first time ans so far I love it. I just shot cheap Remington Corelokt for barrel break in. I have never considered myself a great shot. Good enough to get the job done but not great. Shooting this rifle i actually look good.

I gave one a hard look the other day, decided on the BA Tactical instead. Still gathering all the pieces to get it ready to fire. Look forward to hearing how you like it.

That's good to hear. Waiting on a 300 Norma version.

I originally wanted the .300 win mag. My gun shop said it would take about 8 months which would have been fine. After some thought i decided to buy the 6.5 they had in stock. I thought the lighter recoil and cheaper ammo would equal more time shooting. I am very happy with the 6.5

I actually have a 22" in the same rifle. I swapped out the muzzlebrake for their titanium version and put on a larger carbon fiber oversized bolt knob. Topped it with a Nightforce NXS 2.5-10 and got it less than 9lbs all in. Unfortunately, due to archery season, I have only been able to shoot it once with some generic hornady rounds. Managed 1" @100 off of a stuffed sleeping bag so imagine they shoot a lot better than that.

Yes, I am betting you can shoot it better than that with a better setup. My 6.5 Ridgeline, which is probably the same barrel and same action as the MPR (just a guess, don't know for sure) consistently shoots 3 shot clovers with the 147 ELDM and using an atlas bipod and rear bag. I don't have a tool to measure groups, but well inside an inch for sure.

I have been very impressed with CA rifles, after seeing several and shooting a few. I bought a BA Tactical as a long range rig. The trigger Tech trigger is nice and crisp, I did need to smooth the bolt in the action as mine would bind just a bit on the forward stroke.

Nice. I just put a Gen 2 Vortex Viper on my MPR. The PST 5-20x50. I have not shot it yet , but that scope is huge. It looks like a telescope in it.

The rings are American Rifle Company rings, mediums, and Yes Sir NF ATACR 7x35x56 F1 MOA. So far very impressed with these rings, very innovative way of mounting and so far I have about 100 rounds and the rings have been rock solid.

Not to spin the thread off the rails, but those rings look interesting. I’ve never seen them before.
