I have a hard time feeling comfortable with stuff up high on my chest, whether it's a bino harness, kit bag, or holster. I was thinking about finding something made to ride lower and customizing it from there. Something like this:

From here, you could add pouches as needed. A molle-compatible bino pouch, radio pouch, etc.

Have any of you guys used something similar?

As an archer, I want minimal bulk protruding from my chest. My thought is the lower a bino harness is, the more movement you’ll make to use the binocs. Not as big of deal for a rifle hunter in open country. But you see some folks wanting everything on thier chest, like they’re wanting the Beverly Hillbillies truck look.

I use “tactical” chest rigs all the time. I turned one into a bino harness after I got tired of constantly trying actual bino. harnesses and not liking them.

I like mine to ride high, helps when sitting, shooting or driving.

What about sitting with a tripod?

I’m kinda like the OP in that I’ve always wondered but never pursued it.
