Chest Holster Debate

+1 for Vanandi

I have been carrying my pistol on my pack belt for the past few years because I had trouble getting the common chest holsters to work for me. Got a Vanandi holster for my marsupial gear bino harness. Definitely the solution I was looking for. Great customer service and product.

I don’t have any experience with chest rig/bino harness gun rigs. I think it’s too much up too.

I run a drop leg, or a safari quick latch on my belt when in the woods.

I finally got around to taking a picture of my Gunfightersinc bino link setup. Its fairly new, so it doesn't seem like a lot of folks have heard of it. No extra straps around you at all and it doesn't have to be behind the bino harness.the draw stroke is a kittle different, but it's not bad and you should train with a new setup regardless. That's an FN510 Tactical with PMM comp and Holosun EPS.20250314_175101.jpg

I'm a big fan of a Kydex holster mounted to the bottom of my Marsupial bino pouch. That way if I want to drop/add a warming layer, I don't have 2 sets of straps to undo. I can drop my pack and still have my pistol on me, and it's too easy to put on.

For non hunting activities like fishing and hiking, I have a Hill People Gear kit bag that can carry a full sized pistol and doesn't scream "gun."

I’ve used both of them and will take the Recon from Invader hands down.

Better made holster and more comfortable in my opinion. No issues carrying a Staccato XC with X300 and RMR HD.

I’ll sometimes run a T&K bino harness over top of it. Works well.

Well worth the money.
