Cheek piece adhesive recommendation

I need suggestions on which adhesive strip / type to attach my kydex cheek piece to my stock. Something that holds in tough conditions (very cold), but will not rip the paint off if I need to remove it (i.e. semi-easily removable with a release agent).

I recently rebarreled my action with a heavier contour, and swapped to a scope with a larger objective. So I bought a kydex cheek piece to coincide with the higher mounts. It is an MPI stock, and I do not want to drill it. (Especially in the event I swap to a smaller objective down the road). I've heard of guys using adhesives strips/ tapes. All I have on hand are some of the "semi-permanent" variety.

Depending on what you're using, I wouldn't trust any adhesive, I'd drill the stock and fasten it securely. Last thing I'd want is the piece to cone loose and/or come off and get lost in the field.

I used 3M Dual Lock Velco. I would bet my paycheck on not being able to rip it off.

I use Dual Lock at work. It is good stuff. It would work great, but it's a bit Thicker than what I want. (Funny enough, my backup plan is to heat gun a few bulged pockets and make room for Dual Lock.... since I have few feet that I've "tactically acquired").

Option #3 is a beartooth ammo holder with the cheek piece riser kit.

I'm using one on my new turkey shotgun. Going lighter and more streamlined for my mountain rifle.

You can get just the adhesive part of the velcro, its just 3M VHP tape. Nothing wrong with regular double sided sticky tape either. I would sticky tape sheets of metal or plastic down on a CNC nothing ever came loose. In fact I had to cut back on the amount of tape because I couldn't pry off the material with a pry bar.
