Checking in from IL

Hey all,

I'm in the Chicago suburbs, so most of my hunting aspirations are out of state. Went on my first Fall bear hunt in NW Montana with my wife last year. Close but no cigar. Looking to improve on that experience. Also applied for pronghorn for the 2nd year. The mountains are my home away from home.

Welcome! I’ve been looking forward to heading bac to Chicagoland to see family this summer; it’s been years since I’ve had a decent hotdog. But as a fellow flatlander by birth, I understand the draw of the mountains. It’s been more than twenty years since I headed West and I won’t be moving willing moving back across the Mississippi.
