Sweet pics! If I had to put money down, I'd guess it was a female though. Big ears compared to the head and a little lanky bodywise. Who knows anyway? Awesome stuff.

That is pretty spectacular to have been able to get photos of that lion in action. Too bad you couldn't get video of it. Being from California I have come to hate them because they are unmanaged and protected here. But they are a beautiful creature.

Great encounter!! I would say your pictures look pretty good! Get a phone Skope if you don't have one. Makes taking pics through the spotter with your phone much easier imo.
