I picked up some Mountain Guides from Midway on clearance for $215 to $230ish. They were blowing them out a few months ago. You might check and see what there priced at now?

Edit: I should have added they had both the Mountain Guides and Extremes on clearance when I got some. I chose the Guides instead.

I got mine, new with tags, for $114 plus shipping(NI Mountain Extremes). Being patient counts, but buying in the off season works way better in your favor. Right now, it won't be cheap since everybody is trying to gear up.

Well the new pair I bought and have worn 2 times prier to today's use making the 3rd. I half to return and exchange them come Monday. Shoe lac eyelet broke out. Said could take up to 3 weeks to get a new pair back to me. Season will be almost over by then sheesh

You have to hit them at the right time, but I have seen them 40% off on Sierra Trading post and I got a pair from dvor.com for 40% off.
