Chargemaster Anti Static Pan/Insert

I was having weird readings with my chargemaster Lite, it was drifting, I was getting overthrows and constantly having to calibrate. I was doing some digging and found anti static scale pan and inserts so I ordered a set. I was waiting on new dies to show up so I was playing around with it last night, I threw 10 throws with it standard,McDonald’s straw, and MK static insert and they were all into the anti static pan. I wiped down everything with a dryer sheet and made sure it was level before. After every throw I’d check my second scale with a bullet that always reads 212 then measure the charge with it.
This is what I found throwing 71 grains
Standard: 70.98. 70.98. 70.96. 71.04. 71.2. 71.0. 71.04. 71.06. 71.02. 70.96. =ES .24

Straw: 70.98. 70.98. 70.98. 71.06. 70.98. 70.96. 70.98. 70.98. 71.0. 71.0 =ES.1

MK insert: 71.04. 71.0. 71.0. 71.0. 71.02. 71.0. 71.0. 71.02. 71.0. 71.02. = ES .04

The MK insert was the most consistent throws but painfully slow, I didn’t have any bullets to seat while throwing a charge so it seemed even longer.

Time to throw charge
Standard-31,26,25 seconds
Straw- 16,24,25
Insert- 1:17, 1:10, 1:12

Cut up straws and scales, anyone else might get the wrong idea haha. Anyways thought I’d share I know it’s a super small sample to collect data from but it seems to be more accurate than before just slow, if your someone that has to do one thing at a time this will be painfull but if you can throw a charge and seat a couple while you wait it may be a good upgrade

Something else to look for is any airflow. Even drafts from under the garage door on a windy day would throw mine off. You can also make tweaks to throw speed, when it starts to trickle, etc, that can improve accuracy.

It’s my basement it’s pretty well sealed, how do I change throw speed? Standard it would start slow trickle .3 under and it was usually dropping clumps 3-5 kernels at a time, straw was less maybe up to 3 kernels and the insert was 1 at a time.

I used a brass insert then I place it on a anit static mat. I also clipped on so anti static clips on the wire ad wiped the unit down periodically with a bounce rag or the things you throw in a dryer. But the brass insert made the biggest difference in accuracy rest cut down on weird readings. and agree with above slightest breeze messes you up

Who makes the brass one and is it much slower than the standard?

Just insert and I wrapped a clear piece of scotch tape on it and it’s held for 4 years little slower but I rarely dump a case out and start over maybe 1 out of 50

Within the settings but it has been so long I cannot recall exactly how. I want to say there was a long thread on Snipershide that explains it.

Edit: Found it

I dont believe these adjustments work for the Lite. Only the original Chargemaster.
