Chamber cut wrong?

I was having troubles getting consistent measurements for seating depth in a barrel. I kept coming up way shorter than expected. I ran my cheapo bore scope down the barrel and recorded a short video and noticed a few lands were almost to the case neck. Video quality sucks sorry about that

It looks like maybe the reamer wasn't centered?

I haven't shot it and probably won't. When I tried to get fireforming rounds put together I struggled to get consistent measurements so I stopped.

Wouldn't you think that a prefit manufacturer would QA/QC their product before it shipped? What did it take you....30 seconds to see that? Jeez. They just can't help shooting themselves in the foot.

Yeah, you'd think they'd want to take a look at it before sending out.

I have seen multiple vids of lousy chamber work from them but obviously they still have lots of happy customers too.

I have a PVA prefit back with them right now because the throat looked lousy too.

Thats what happens when profit and quantity is placed in front of quality to hit a price point.

It might shoot, ive had barrels that were a bit funky that shot fine.
A prefit from omr chambered in 6.5 prc shot factory eldx around 1.5” in 10 shot strings comes to mind.
Another 6 creed from omr with a similar concentricity issue shoots factory eldm easily under 1” for 20 shots.

Play with the bullet type before giving up if your not getting the desired results

That barrel wasn't straight in the lathe prior to the first cut. That's the first step...if it isn't straight before you start cutting, it won't be straight when you're done cutting. Rule #1 in barrel work.

Funny story, I had 0 lathe experience before I cut my first barrel...took me almost 4 hours to get it straight where I'd start cutting. Now, it's well under 30 minutes.
