What's the temp range for the Chama or similar as a standalone layer? Would it be ok for early season bear or would I be too hot?
Going into my second year hunting and expanding my kit. I have camo rain gear, a camo wool vest, and solid black long underwear. I am wanting to add a camo top base layer so I can have it, a vest, and rain gear. Because I have long underwear for when it's cold that I can layer under whatever camo top I get, I want to make sure I get the right weight.
I'm thinking the Chama or something similar weight as a base layer when it's warm would be the most versatile. I could add long underwear under when it gets colder, and/or the vest when it's even colder yet.
Is the chama a good single piece weight?
