Central Idaho Early Archery

Looking for some input on early archery in central Idaho.

I’ve spent most of my time interment scouting 43/48 and had some good spots picked out.

I’m thinking about making the swap to Lemhi now after reading some more about it being crowded in 43/48.

It is crowded did not used to 43 is better than 48

Dod not used to be as crowded when IFAG had a quota on tags sold for that zone.

Look at the stats, Hunters in these units has tripled in the last three years with 48 just getting pounded. Success dropped from 30% to 14% with about the same amount of animals killed. I have been in these units and trail heads are OTC full, not that it cant be done but you wont be alone. Not trying to persuade you either way, but when you look at data also look at the type of stats I just mentioned.

He is right its been hammered used to be a great unit.

if I didn't live in 48 I would hunt the Lemhi's in a heartbeat over here.
