I guess I’m just curious, a lot of my hunting occurs at different elevations in the same year and I’m getting pretty attached to using one gun for all of it. Plan on adding a VX5hd 3-15 to the system.
If I’m elk hunting in the 5-8k range in one state and then at sea level a week later how much will that effect point of impact with a cds system? Are the effects mitigated at shorter ranges say sub 550 or would it be wise to have a separate dial made for the same load but adjusted for elevation?
Thanks for any light you can shed on this.
