Wondering if some of you guys that shoot factory ammo could give me a base to ogive measurement on some different factory 6 creed ammo
Trying to sell a custom to a buddy that doesn't reload and need to make sure factory stuff will chamber as my freebore is a bit shorter than saami
Thanks

All comperators measure a lil differently unfortunately. It's be best to buy a few boxes of factory ammo and measure with your tooling. If it is indeed short, you could always use you're seating die and bump the factory ammo in to where it's not jammed, see how it shoots. He could then bring you a few hundred rounds at a time and you could bump them for him if they don't fit.

I have a few boxes of 108eldm ammo from 2 years ago, it's about 0.010 off touch in my saami chambers. So if your freebore is notably shorter than saami, it'll be jammed.

kampfelds reamer a few years ago was jamming with Berger 95 classic hunter, hornady 108, hornady black, and Norma 107.

I’d say most of the factory stuff is well suited to saami throats and not short throats.

That left sticky note is right up your alley. From when I was checking Hornady’s work.

Edit to add, I believe the right measurements are bullet base to ogive and weights.
This was fuel to my fire believing that if berger made tipped bullets, I would give them a lot of money.
