What prep center is everyone using? I don’t need one with a trimmer, just debur, chamfer and primer pocket cleaning. I’ve always just don’t it all by hand but thinking about an upgrade

I’ve got the Lyman, bought it used on flea bay for $80 and it’s been awesome. Really a timesaver. Its super quiet and has 5 stations for whatever you want to set up plus a spot for a brush and mica/graphite if lubing inside case necks is your thing

If you don't have an annealer and are interested in one, the Burstfire 2 in 1 is a pretty slick setup. The Gen 2 has 4 power stations so you could chamfer, deburr, clean primer pocket, and brush necks across the line.

I have an annealezz annealer, just been chamfering, deburring and doing primer pockets by hand

+1 for the burstfire. Just got mine about a week ago and it’s been great!

I got the burstfire, and have been happy. Only thing I don't like is the brass shavings aren't very contained. The Lyman is nicer if you aren't in the market for an annealer. I like that it is a multi use tool though.

I've had a RCBS Brass Boss for a few years, actually have three of them, and they work well for me.

Do you all see a difference in quality between hand done and using a powered prep center?

I run the Frankford Arsenal platinum prep center. After about 1k rounds my cutter is not doing so hot so I'm going to swap it out with a carbide RCBS which is touted to solve the issue. It's a good setup for sure. Sped up my brass prep a ton. Top it off with one of their rotary tumblers and you're in business.

Lyman Xpress. I also use it as an annealing aid, it's not perfect, but I like it far better than using a drill.

Been using the frankford arsenal case prep center for 5 years or so. Haven’t replaced the blades yet and still going strong.

I have the burstfire too but haven’t bought heads for it. Since I can trim to length on the frankford I doubt I’d use it.
