Carter Wise Choice "click" noise while hunting

My wrist release is basically silent to clip on if you apply pressure to the trigger while cocking. Wonder if you can do the same with the thumb releases.

That actually works. It was very hard for me to do with one handed though due to the way the release is held.

I'll add something to this thread on hunting with these style releases. I bought a Rapala magnetic tool holder for fishing. It has a small carabiner style hook for hooking to your belt loop and then a pair of mated magnets with keyrings attached. This is made so you can have a set of pliers handy while fishing, you can reach down and take them off without having to look as you just pull the magnets apart, use the tool, then get close to the magnets again and they grab each other and re-attach.

I took this and took the keyrings off and just used "D" loop material to attach my release to one of the magnets, and then clip the other to my bino harness or belt. While I'm hiking around the release is close by, but not in my hand. When I need it, I reach up and pull it off, clip on and make the shot. Now the magnet is powerful (holds over 6 pounds) which makes it noisy to re-attach , but getting it off is silent and easy. Keeps your hands free and you don't have a release tapping on your rangefinder or binos. If I can I'll post a picture of my setup.

And to the OP, so far I have not had my Wise Choice be an issue for clipping on, but each situation is definitely different. Out west it's never been a problem for elk hunting, but in Kansas whitetail hunting they sure can hear it a mile away it seems.

So a fresh cerakote won't quiet anything down, but it sure looks good

I like the magnet attach idea. Thanks for sharing

That cerakote looks fantastic.

Recent convert to thumb releases and purchased a Wise Choice after hearing it recommended by many. Couldn’t be happier.
