How do you guys keep your reeds together/organized in the field and when traveling to and from?

I have four reed cases that I carry at all times. separated between cow reeds and bugling reeds

I carry two reeds all of Sept. One of them is used 90% of the time, it's my All Purpose reed the Mistress! It will provide me with any Cow talk or Bulls Bugle. The 2nd is the Mellow Yellow, I will put that in if I want the softest cow calls I can muster, it will still do fairly well on all elk sounds but not as good as the Mistress for me. It's either in my mouth during my hunt or the both of them are in my shirt pocket. I do not carry them in any type of pouch or container, I want them there for quick access if needed. These reeds generally last the entire month of Sept & I call a lot, much more than the standard hunter. I do not carry extras on my person.

I carry about 3 in my case, and 2 cases. One in my pocket, one in my pack. I sharpen the mouth of a .223 empty case with a chamfer tool and punch a few holes in a brightly colored, oval style change purse. Protects the calls to some degree, cheap (I use free ones given as promotional gifts), lets them dry, easily retrieved from pack or pocket, and easy to find if dropped.

Corey's pink Mistress and All Star with his Dad's brown Bugling Bull with the old reed is what I usually pack around.

I normally have a few in my pack and the one I'm using I store in my hat band

Nice! All good info. I like the idea of having quick access but still possibly having a backup set packed and ready to go in the day bag. Much appreciated fellas and good luck!!

In a little pocket thingy with a cord around my neck. I use three different reeds depending on what calls I want to do and how much emotion I want to put into them.

Usually just in my pants pocket with my windicator. Though, this year I got a little plastic case so the reeds don't get damaged by dirt and pine needles :)

I keep one in a binder clip on the brim of my hat. Easy access, can't stand walking around with them in my mouth. A cuple more in a case in my pocket.

Trying to order the new Phelps pouch but looks like the website is still down.

Another option is the Reed Quiver from Bend-Able Products. I usually run 2 of these with 1 reed in each. One sits under the bill my hat and the other one is on my chest strap of my pack. Quick and easy access to your reeds without having to mess with zippers or get into any compartments.

When I get home from work will post more pics of it attached to pack

Love the products made by Phelps, but $25 for a reed pouch?! No thanks! I'm not gonna buy something that's greatly overpriced just because it has his name on it.

$25 is not all that high for US hand-made IMO. Look at Kifaru's pockets; the cheapest one is $25 and I would think that the small size of this pocket makes it pretty difficult to sew.

Corey sells a simple reed pouch for $7.95, but I have several that are similar where you just squeeze them from the ends and they spring open.

One of my kids got some beats earbuds and they came with a little case that you squeeze the top like the phelps above. i stole it from them. It fits in the front pocket of my bino case or the upper pocket on my vest. I used to use a soft sided business card holder that I got on amazon. It worked well too.
