The fun factor was lost with the $160 price tag. HA.

The goal was to not to buy $160 solid color pants to keep from tearing up my $130 camo pants.

Those pants look great! Going to buy a pair for upland and give then a try.

I'd seriously like to hear your feedback if you do get a pair of the Carhartts.

Just got a pair with an order from dungarees.net. They look ok. Would i wear them brush cutting? Probably stick with the double faced carharts for that. They do look like a comfy active wear tho. May give them a try out next week in the kayak. The lightweight should be good here in the heat

They also offer a double front in the new stretch material, but it's not claiming to be as water repellent or moisture wicking. Both are really on my radar honestly.

Another option that gets used a lot for trail clearing and brush cutting is chaps. Have the filson tin cloth and some unknown brand of heavy cordura. Either will repel any briar or other sticker bushes. Pretty light weight easy to pack. Great for early morning dew. Got the first pair after buying a leather set for bike riding on those cool mornings or evenings when you need just a little more

Mtswampfox - curious if you've had a chance to try out the new carhartts in the field and have some thoughts on them?

I took the plunge on a pair of the Carhartt Cortland Rugged Flex pants in prep for my AZ Coues deer hunt.

Having spent 5 days of my hunt in them I can say I look to order another pair in a different color. They stretched great, breathed pretty good, but best off all I never felt a single cat claw or sticker in my legs. They are pricey I will admit but I hope to get a few years of service from them.
