Cargo pocket on lid

I'm a bit slow so I'm having trouble attaching a cargo pocket to my Kifaru lid. I cannot get the metal tabs on pocket thru the sewn tabs on lid. Is there something else I need to attach to?

Are you rotating the 3 bar slider 90* to slide it thru? The 3 bars should be pointing straight thru the hole and fabric from the pouch will be bunched up at the trailing end. After you get it thru then rotate it back 90* to "lock it in place".

If you are looking at a standard lid, the tabs are sewn the wrong direction. I attached my large belt pouch to a std lid using 3/4" ladder locks that I modified.

The 3 bar sliders on pocket will not begin to go thru loop on lid even before it comes to the fabric holding the 3 bar slider.
