Definitely the same concept. Not sure that HCA did the one on eBay but it’s possible.

I think if I’m spending money on a carbon barrel I’d go with one of the custom blanks instead of a turned down tikka takeoff. But that might just be me

But it's a chambered carbon barrel for less than the price of a premium steel blank! Bling bling.

I’ve personally had 4 (6mm,6.5mm,7mm,30cal) proof carbons and one carbon6 (6.5mm) all five have shot great for me, 3/4” 10 round groups. I can promise you, my next one will be a proof as well.
People can say what they want about the carbon barrels but that’s someone else’s opinion so who cares. All mine have been fantastic and I will continue to use them for the foreseeable future.
